Sage Line 50 includes import routines, that can be used to import externally generated transactions or to speed up setting up a new system.
Import is a bit dated and doesn`t support the same types of entries as Line 50 does natively, for example characters such as & are fine in accounts you create in L50.
The CSV format places some limitations for example, you can not use ” or , in any of the fields.
If your current system can export to either Excel or .CSV you should be able import the data into your new Line 50 software
All fields can NOT be imported plus you will need to set flags manually.
Process:
Make sure that the data is valid and complies with the rules
Ensure all fields are in the correct order
Import
Fix any problems highlighted by the import.
