Can’t disable hibernation in Windows 7
Windows 7 doesn’t make it easy to turn off hibernation, annoying if you never use it as you’ll permanently have a “hiberfil.sys” file taking up a sizeable portion of your hard drive. To rectify this situation, launch REGEDIT, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlPower, and set HibernateEnabled to zero.
